In an effort to grow its numismatics business, Beckett Media, publisher of COINage, hired two new staff members in March.
Maggie Judkins of Minnesota joins the group as editorial director, and Jamie Schroeder of Wisconsin has come on board as advertising sales lead. Together, they bring nearly two decades of experience to the table.
Judkins comes to Beckett from Wisconsin-based Krause Publications, a division of F+W Media, where she served as editorial director. Her responsibilities over her more than 11 years with the firm included leading brands Numismatic News, Coins magazine, World Coin News, Bank Note Reporter, and a number of digital and social media profiles.
Her initial priorities at Beckett include leadership of COINage magazine and digital expansion in website, social media, and email channels.
“I am beyond excited to join the coin team at Beckett,” said Judkins. “I have great respect for COINage’s legacy and its role as a trusted source for collecting information and history. The team and I have big plans for growth, so be sure to watch for new products and properties to be rolled out in the coming months,” namely a revamped website at CoinageMag.com, according to Judkins.

Schroeder brings five years of print and digital sales experience and two years of digital management experience from MMC, a central-Wisconsin group of 16 weekly editorial and shopper newspapers, various monthly niche magazines, and 18 websites that included editorial news, classified ads, automotive, entertainment, and e-commerce.
She is certified and well-versed in running customer programmatic target marketing with expertise in social media and specific marketing channels as well as being Google Analytics certified with the ability to translate data into highly effective campaigns.
“I truly enjoy learning about individual businesses and finding ways best suited to meet their needs,” said Schroeder. “My goal is to help service coin businesses with an approach that covers their audience on all channels.”
